It’s a bit of an obvious statement isn’t it, that we, a garden design business loves garden design? Obvious or not, it’s the truth. Designing gardens has been our passion for many years, hence why we decided to turn our passion into a business. As much as we love it, some others think that it can be tricky and time consuming, but we’re here to change their minds with these reasons as to why we love designing gardens.
It can make a house a home: Gardens have a much bigger impact on the feel of your home than you might initially anticipate. One who has an overgrown lawn with untrimmed trees and weeds in the patio will not want to spend a lot of time outside. Enter Outdoor Creations – we have truly transformed some gardens from what we can only describe as a ‘building site’ to a spectacular outdoor space. Adults can entertain more and enjoy a glass on wine on a summer evening, and children can spend more time outside playing and exercising.
It can add huge value onto your home: Gardens are a huge deal breaker when selling and buying a home. Whether your garden is big or small is irrelevant, what matters is if your garden is making the most of the space you have and if it can be utilised; this is what adds the value to your home. Spending time and money on your garden design and maintenance will really make a difference when it comes to selling your home.
We can be creative: Prior to the birth of Outdoor Creations, we didn’t have much of a creative outlet… We would be in a standard corporate environment with little stimulation. We love designing gardens as no two days are the same and no two projects are the same! Each project we take on comes with new challenges and new rewards.
Positively impact other peoples lives: As mentioned before, the right garden can encourage more outdoor behaviour, and we all know that fresh air does nothing but good for us all. We have also noticed that giving someone the garden of their dreams can really impact their lives from making somebody a house-proud home owner, or giving them the space to play with their children.
Working outdoors: When we work with a new client, we spend a lot of time scoping out their current garden, the level, the size, the shape, and so on, so we get a lot of fresh air. Going from being in a office everyday, to planning the design of a garden in someone’s garden, and project managing the progress is a great feeling. We love being outdoors and connecting with the nature of each garden so we can really envision the perfect design for each space.
There are, of course, many more reasons why we love doing what we do, but these are just a few of our favourites. You now know that when you ask us to redesign your garden, you are getting a team of people who are truly passionate about it!
