When designing your garden, the first thing you need to consider is the colour scheme, if you have a garden which is largely greenery then it’s likely this will look more traditional so you may need to include vivid colours to make it appear more modern. If you already have bright colours within your garden, then you may want to work with this within your furniture colours.
There are lots of trends you can consider as well to make your garden more contemporary. For example, water features are always ‘on trend’ and different materials for plant pots can also make your garden have a more ‘modern’ feel. Effective lighting is also important within a contemporary garden. Traditional gardens are unlikely to have had much lighting, as electricity for outside the home may not have been invented. However, a contemporary garden can allow outdoor lighting which focuses on certain areas of your home.
